Robert Crumb is a cartoonist with instantly recognizable style whose ability to create memorable, shocking images is unsurpassed. A nonaligned political crank. A painfully honest autobiographer. A sexual neurotic. He's all this and more. A social cull as a kid, Crumb spent endless hours drawing. The sensitive nerd was inspired by Harvey Kurtzman's Mad and Humbug, and eventually worked with Kurtzman in Help!. Crumb went to Cleveland in the early 60's and got work at a greeting card company, where he perfected his cute bigfoot style.
