HOW TO UPLOAD PICS TO A PHOTO ALBUM
There is two ways to upload pics to MSN Group photo albums. First is to upload to an existing album, and the other is to create a photo album, and upload them there. To upload to an existing album, the creator must have it set to recieve uploads from all members. Most albums here are set that way, but some aren't. We'll focus on creating an album, and uploading to that first. Here we go: 1) Click on the PICTURES link. Currently it's located on the sideboard links to the left of the site. I think it's the 11th one down.

2) Locate the link that says "CREATE A NEW ALBUM". It's just to the right of the page scroll box at the top of the albums.

3) Name the album, and select a setting. You can also add a description if you wish. Then click the "Create Album" button at the bottom.

4) You will then see a link that says add photos. Click it. You may then have to download the MSN Photo Upload Control. Even at dial-up speed, it's a quick and painless download, less than 30 seconds. You will than have access to your entire hard drive, and disc drives. So you can upload pics from your computer, or disc.

5) Locate the folder or drive you want to upload from. Then select the pics you want to upload, and click the "Upload Now" button on the upper right. Bam you're done.

ABOUT STORAGE
Generally speaking you get 3 megs of storage for a free passport account, and 30 meg with a paid account. This is totally different than your e-mail storage. When you click the PICTURES LINK, a storage meter is displayed just above the albums and page box showing how much stotage you have, and how much storage you've used. At last check the size limit for a single file upload is 1 meg even though you get at least 3 total. So audio and video is very limited. If you are trying to share larger files, the only option is to have them uploaded to a host somewhere else , and simply link to them from here via the MESSAGE BOARD. To see an example of your storage meter, look just above the red circle. With this passport, I'm using 1.6 of the 3 MB of storage.
