Internet Acronyms 

An acronym is a label formed from the beginnings of words (Greek: acro [head] and nym [word]) -- or very rarely, from letters in the middle of words. There is no requirement that an acronym be pronounceable as a normal word (this is a curious myth perpetuated by American dictionaries):  Often they are used as Short cuts for longer words and short sentences.

LMAO = laughing my a** off

LOL = laughing out loud

ROTFLMAO = rolling on the floor laughing my a** off

PMP = peeing my pants

LMBO = laughing my bum (or butt) off

PMSL = peeing myself laughing

ROFLMAO = rolling on the floor laughing my a** off

BRB = be right back

BBS = be back soon

BRT = be right there

BRH = be right here

TTYL = talk to you later

TTFN = ta ta for now

ASAP = as soon as possible

IMO = in my opinion

ASL = age sex location

AFK = away from keyboard

Y = why

U = you

UR = your

NP = no problem

NA = no answer or not applicable

NM = never mind

FYI = for your information

PSP = paint shop pro

TY = thank you

WB = welcome back

YW = your welcome

SAHM = stay at home mom

WAHM = work at home mom

WOHM = work out of home mom

DD = darling daughter

DH = darling husband

DS = darling son

SIL = son in law

DIL = daughter in law

FIL = father in law

MIL = mother in law

SO = significant other
