First thing that often confuses new managers is that building a page is just about the same as making a regular post. You dont need any special html skills to do it, just build the page as if its a post, name your page and save it, its that simple! There are special things you can do to the page to make it really stand out. This page covers Posts, Tables, Backgrounds and more.  Let's start with a Post and we'll show you how to add links and photos into your post and more. Using these instructions assumes that you have legally downloaded the music file, have rights to it, and legally upload it, and have not illegally downloaded, uploaded or otherwise accessed or hotlinked the music file.

In your group, click on Documents in the left column.  Click on Add File.  Browse in your computer to the music file you want to use and upload it to your Documents.  After it is uploaded go back into Documents and where you see the name of the music file, Right Click on it and choose Copy Shortcut.  Go into the page you wish to add the music to and click on Edit this page.  You can do a text link to it or use an image.   I'll show you both.  (these links are not real,  just examples.  You'll use the url to a real music file you uploaded to your group's documents section)

Now, go back and with your mouse highlight the word here,  then click on the link button (globe) in your toolbar.   Hit CTRL + V at the same time and that music url you copied should appear.  Click on Insert.   That's it!

Using an image:  Type the words and add image.

Add your image to the page.  Click on it one time and you'll see little squares appear around it.  Click on the Link button in your toolbar.  Hit CTRL + V at the same time and that music file you copied should appear.  Click on Insert.  That's it!

 

**Please note the links above do not work,  they are for example only,  no music will play.  But if you follow the instructions,  music will open and play for your members.  (non-members won't be able to play music in your group though, because the music is stored in your Documents section - all files in your Documents are only available to Members)
