There are certain characteristics that most witches have in common.  We adore thunder and lightning, spend hours hugging trees and talking to flowers and plants, take ages collecting special stones and sticks and visiting sacred sites. Tarot cards, wind chimes, and crystal balls are every witches' best friends.

How many of u absorb the lighting, thunder and of course the rain? What about sitting among the trees and by the water?  As for Tarot Cards; who has many sets of Runes Stones, crystals and other stones?

People tend to us labels, Pagan....Witch...Wiccan

Pagan is derived from the Latin word "paganus" meaning a villager or rustic dweller.  The word was used as an insult by the Roman military to anyone who was a civilian or an incompetent soldier.  The Christians then adopted it, to hurl as insults to anyone who wasn't one of them.

Sadly, the word "witchcraft" has so many negative ideas.  The word "witchcraft" is derived from the old Celtic word "wicca" meaning "wise".  Those who practiced the anceint wicca crafts could actually "bend" reality and therefore appera to create magic.

The word "magic" comes fromteh ancient Middle Eastern word "magi" the literal translation of which is "wise men" or priests.  The Druids acted as wise men, soothsayers, and shape-changers, and their beliefs incorporated many ritual acts.

As in the dictionary...."seeking to harness and conduct psychic forces to cause manifestation by using appropriate incantations, spells, and charms to focus the mind."
