Magickal Symbols

The following is a list of Magickal Dream Interpretations, remember  the dream interpretation is a highly subjective art based on your own perceptions and experiences.  A wise Witch knows that answers cannot always be found in a book, or dozens.  The first and the most important written book is the Book of You.

The best advice for dream interpretations is to seek out a Witch or Wiccan that is gifted in the Art of Dreaming and Dream Interpreatons.  Although logic has a place in dream interpretaion, the psychic, intuitive voice is even more important because it is from this voice that spiritual missives often originate.

Abyss: In the tarot, this is the place where faith is tested, the place from which the Fool leaps to discover his or her magick.  Alternatively, it may represent fertility (the womb), and new beginnings.

Altar: An in-between place or bridge between the mundane and the eternal. an altar may quite possible represent the need to give or receive by way of an offering.

Arrow: The Warrior's rune, the arrow is a call to action and discovery of personal power.

Athame: The ritual knife of Wiccans, the athame repreents the reality the magick is a two-edged tood that can be wielded to help or harm.

Bells: A message of protection or warning, bells may also be an advisory that u need to center and focus.

Cakes: Typically eaten during or at the end of ritual, cakes represent wishes, an initiation, or other sacred rites.

Candle:  Enlightenment, the light that shines within each soul.  The behavior of the candle can be interpreted in this context.

Cauldron: Because a cauldron has three legs, Witches associate it with the threefold Goddess and her influence.  With this in mind, it also represents traditonal feminine qualities, wisdom, nurturing, creativity, and insight.

Circle:  Sacred space, completion, wholeness, equity, and cycles

Dancing: Integration or participation in something greater than yourself.  pay attention to where and with whom u are dancing in the dream to gain more insight into its meaning.

Divination Tools: These tools represent the need to examine something  closely or gather more information.

Fire:  a call to gather with community, fire may alternatively represent the power of light over darkness or a heated situation.

Goblet:  Another strong feminine symbol of the womb and the Goddess.  Additionally, drinking from one cup is a Wiccan and Pagan symbol of unity.

Gypsy:  Unexpressed psychic potential

Incense:  Prayers or requests being directed to Spirit, incense alternatively represents cleansing and life as a ritual.

Invocation: The call of your soul to the Divine for assistance or presence.

Knot: Binding negative or unwanted energy (or holding energy in place until it's needed).

Magick: Personal power that requires responsiblity and control.

Mirror: Reflecting energy in one direction or another, the mirror may also represent the need to reconsider your self-image

Moon:  Believed once to be the soruch of a Witch's power, the phase of the moon might indicate that inner resources are wanting.

Path: The course of your spiritual progress.  Make note of the path's condition.  Is it well-tended?  Filled with rocks and holes?  This condition should be highly indicative of how smoothly your path is progressing.

Priest or Priestess: A representative of your inner voice that acts as a spiritual guide, or perhaps a call to consider embarking on suitable spiritual studies to reach this level in the community. [The Witchy One]

Salt: The need to purify, banish, or preserve something.

Stars:  Wishes, dreams, and hopes. Alternatively, stars represent outside influences impressing themselves on a situation (akin to astrological influences)

Stones or Cyrstals: Each type of stone or crystal has unique symbolism based on folklore and superstitions behind it.

Sword:  An alternative to an athame, the sword wields greater power and therefore bears greater responsibility.

UFO: A large number of witches and Neo-Pagans trust in the possibility of life in other worlds.  To quote Carl Sagan, "Anything else would be a terrible waste of space."  The UFO reminds dreamers of their place as citizens of a very large universe.

Watch: Many Wiccans remove their watches in the sacred space because magick works outside of normal time-space constraints.  Consequently, this dream may be asking to what you are directing your attention: the temporal or eternal?

Web: The intertwining of all things: life's network where everything from the smallest neutron to the largest galaxy is connected, including your life.
