| Merry Meet! www.avatarhome.com/ Anigifs/Misc/ankh.gif Seshet, while at Mistic Cottage, gathered these pges and information. She was drawn to the Egyptian Path. Seshet has left us, but her words remain. A word about the Egyptian Ways: The Egyptian Faith is very loving. There is so much tenderness, love, and beauty to it.However, some aspecs of it may be considered offensive and not for the weak at heart. It has its dark moments! There is a lot about incest, rape, sex and violence. But that is not ALL that it is about. Before reading the information posted for those seeking this path, please note that its not all peaches and cream.Any questions you may have, please feel free to email me off the boards. ***** Now,the basics of Egyptian Wicca....it's a fairly simple path.Following the Egyptian Ceremonies and Rituals, including the weighing of the heart ceremony, and the mummification process. We believe that Nut and Geb created the Universe.Nut is our Grandmother Goddess, while Isis is our Mother. You will see more information added bits by bits to the Egyptian Pages... However,we also abide by the Threefold Law and the Wiccan Rede. This can be a complicated thing, but with proper mediation and willpower,it can be done. We are the rarest Wiccan branch out there-about 2% of Wiccans follow this path. I hope you enjoy the pages I have created from the help of various sources. Please bear with me as I add more information. Blessings and Light from Re above! Seshet here is some additonal information about the Egyptian Path that I have picked up and wanted to share: The Wiccan tradition called Kemetic Wicca or Egyptian Wicca is the adaptation of Gardnerian Wicca of the pantheon of Egyptian gods and goddesses. One school to focus on the trinitarian family of Osiris and his wife/sister Isis, and their falcon-headed son, Horus. Others prefer Maat. Sacred symbols such as the Ankh (the ancient Egyptian symbol for life), and Eye of Horus/All Seeing Eye are very popular in this sect. Some try to copy the religious rituals of the ancient Egyptians and the Book of the Dead (ancient Egyptian book describing spells and rituals used during embalming and other various rituals) is sometimes used as a reference. In real life, the Book of the Dead was not called that. It was known as the Book of Coming Forth by Day. To call it the Book of the Dead is incorrect. Kemetic Wicca is also refered to as Tameran Wicca. Tamerans are mostly eclectic and solitary practitioners. There are schools and seminaries that can be taken on-line and in person. information courtesy of: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kemetic_Wicca Egyptian BOS Hieroglyphics The Four Adorations of Egyptian Wicca New members' application message...... AubreyRiver says.... I've always been drawn to the Egyptian pantheon. However I've only been a practicing Pagan for 2 years. It wasn't until just in the past month that I felt drawn to find out if there was even such a thing as Egyptian Wicca. So that is how I found you! Oloriel_Starfire says... I have been interested in the Egyptian path for quite a while. Recently the Goddess Bast took me under her guidance. I have an awsome meditation experience I'd like to share with the group if I'm allowed to join.
