Making caps with wet and set type fabrics

For the caps, I cut a piece of fabric a bit bigger than the dolls head ,and I do the cap right on the dolls head . ( Doll is  Covered with plastic wrap first) I put the fabric centered on the dolls head , dip it in water first .or put on and use a spray bottle to dampen. finger press the darts where needed and hold in place with an elastic till dry .Then you can take off the dry cap and stitch or glue down the darts and sew a hem. for the real small wigs I hand sew . I use the machine for the large wigs.
                               I hope this helps
