This is the book call "Mouse Hole Cat". We love this story (and have the book and video too). It is about a small fishing town on the coast of England, at Christmas time. The fisherman can not fish becuase of storms and the town is starving. On old fisherman and his cat set out in the storm, to get fish for the town. It is truely a favorite. picture book.
PS. be sure to click on link at the bottom of the MHC page that talks about this real town and the Christmas festival they celebrate.
