Go through each image you saw. You might consult a symbol interpretation list for dreams. You can also analyze each image by checking what it means to you. For example, a red rose may mean passion in the dream interpretation book, but if your best friend requested them in the hospital, your personal associations are going to be a bit different. The conclusions you use from your gazing sessions must eventually be your own and as you practice, you will understand yourself and the visions more and more.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

With practice the mind becomes more comfortable in this state and you will be able to maintain it for greater lengths of time.

There are also tools that can help you become more familiar with the altered state required to gaze. They can also speed the achievement of the state so that the practice is more convenient and frequent. These tools can range in price from free to thousands. One of the less expensive tools is a set of goggles used specifically for the Ganzfield effect. They are non-invasive sensory depravation devices used to create a smooth, monochromatic field of light. The colour chosen for the field of light can be selected according to colour therapy, magickal differences or whatever you are drawn to. After a few minutes of using this tool, you won’t “see” anything as your optic nerve becomes paralyzed and you will “see” only black. With your minds eye, however, you will see much more!

You can also make your own simple pair of goggles to help you in your gazing techniques. Simply slice a ping-pong ball in half and smooth the cut edges with sandpaper. You can also pad the edges with headphone cushions with the centers cut out. Paint both halves of the ping-pong ball the colour of your choice.

Avoid making imperfections in the paint, allowing any cushions to be visible (try to use them without cushioning at first) or any flecks of darkness on the halves.

Place them over your eyes and lay down under a bright light. Keep your eyes open and stare straight ahead. After a few minutes you should no longer be able to see the colour. This is a normal effect and nothing to be afraid of.

Experiment with different variations of light brightness. Your eyes shouldn’t feel any pain or sensitivity to brightness, but there should be even and bright light.

The techniques advised here are due to experiments that have been profiled on Discovery Science Channel in their Biolab Series as well as documented cases.

I hope you can find many wonderful visions using these techniques…….let me know how it works out!

With much love and light,
