Future Fusion
Continuous MagicCard
Send, from your Deck to the Graveyard, Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a Fusion Monster Card, and select that 1 Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck. Special Summon the selected Fusion Monster during your 2nd Standby Phase after this card's activation. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.) When this card is removed from the field, destroy that monster. When the monster is destroyed, destroy this card.
Future Fusion is a card that has influenced the Japanese Metagame ever since its release. It is one of the integral pieces in the One-Turn-Kill Chimeratech Overdragon deck and is essentially, a combo card. Its ability to fusion summon a monster from your Fusion Deck is a mere bonus, the true worth of this card lies in its ability to send cards to the graveyard, a technique lost to English players since Foolish Burial hasn't been released yet.
Pros
A potential searcher - Can search for cards mentioned on Fusion Monsters. Meaning you can easily dump your Dark Magician cards into the graveyard for easy revival. You could also use it to hunt for any warrior card (Uforoid Fighter). Thus it acts as an additional searcher for Elemental Heroes, Elemental hero Neos and with the release of newer Fusion Monsters, this card can only gain in strength (unless a useful Fusion Monster is banned).
A potential Fusion Summoner - While the Special Summon is not as immediate or inherently useful as the cost, it will special summon some of those hard-to-get Fusion Monsters that require three to four monsters.
Cons
It is limited to 1 - The card is now limited to one due to the One-Turn-Kill Chimeratech Overdragon deck's prevalence. This means that as a combo card, unless some more card searching is present, Future Fusion is not a card to build your deck upon. I.e., it's a combo card without a combo.
It is a Continuous Magic Card - It happens to be a Continuous Magic Card. This means that if used to special summon a Fusion Monster, it's a new target for all of the M/T destruction your opponent now controls. The fact that it needs to remain on the field for you to keep the Fusion Monster only weakens it further. In addition, since you activate this card selecting a particular Fusion Monster, you, in effect, reveal your intentions with the card. Since this is a combo card at heart, doing so without the appropriate piece available just leaves you vulnerable to a smart opponent. Thus you would need a fast or stalling deck to help counter this problem. The ban list prevents either recourse.
Restrictions on targets - It canot special summon a monster that cannot BE special summoned. I.e. no XYZ variant and no Elemental Hero Neos Fusion Monster, not even for sending the materials to the graveyard. Selecting them at ALL is an illegal play.
