.:Series 1:Duelist Kingdom:.

So, you're new to Yu-Gi-Oh! and you haven't the slightest idea what is going on in the world of Duel Monsters. So let UDC fill you on, scroll on down for the introduction to the hit TV Show that is Yu-Gi-Oh!

Series 1

Yugi Moto, Joey Wheeler, Tristan Taylor, Tea Gardner and Ryou Bakura, friends till the end. They are all caught in the latest craze to hit the world, Duel Monsters, Yu-Gi-Oh!

Duel Monsters, as we all know is a game where you pit monster against monster, using spells and traps for advantages until a duelist has no LP's left!

But there's more to this card game than the package suggests!

According to a 5000 year old legend, ancient Egyptian Pharaoahs used to play a magical game very similar to Duel Monsters. This magical game involved magical ceremonies, which were used to decide one's destiny as a man. It was the Shadow Game, and all creatures involved were all real-live creatures, deadly real, summoned by sorcerors! However, with the game being a real life changer, these powerful monsters were out of control, and eventually threatened to destroy life! However, a powerful but mystical Pharoah stepped in and sealed these away.

Today, the game is alive again, safe in the form of cards, or is it?

At our Hero, Yugi's house, his Grampa gives him an enigmatic puzzle, which, after much hard work and fustration he solves! Upon the solution to this puzzle, Yugi is given great abilities, the power of bravery and passion, he now has an extra soul inside him, his Alter Ego, Yami Yugi!

A short while after this, Maximillion Pegasus sends Yugi a tape, informing Yugi of a tournament he is holding. While Yugi is reluctant, he watches the tape, and somehow ends up Dueling Pegasus over a tape! Time is against Yugi, which causes his defeat. But Pegasus, being stone hearted, traps Yugi's Grandpa's soul in a card, and Yugi  is forced to play in Pegasus's tournament in order to get it back!

Yugi is put face to face with powerful enemies throughout the Series, but will the power of will, the Millenium Puzzle and his dearest friends be enough to rescue his Grandpa?

You gotta watch to find out!
