| Here are short profiles on the characters who star in Yu-Gi-Oh! The series!
The Characters 1
Yugi Moto Yugi attends Domino School with his friends in Domino City. He is a kind- hearted boy with a good spirit. He is determined to do anything for his friends. When he discovers Duel Monsters he is fascinated and wants to be a duelist. When Seto Kaiba rips up Yugi's grampa's Blue Eyes white Dragon card, Yugi challenges Kaiba and defeats him with his grampa's deck. Yugi is inseperable from his Millenium puzzle when he fixes it together and discovers the power in contains.
Yami Yugi The other side of Yugi that appears when Yugi is in a duel or another game (eg. Dungeon Dice Monsters). Yami Yugi is a spirit that has been held in Yugi's Millenium Puzzle for 5000 years. before the time of being locked in the Puzzle, Yami defeated the evil in Ancient Egypt. History  repeats itself when Yugi is given the Millenium Puzzle. he must, along with Yami, defeat the evil once again. Yami is an expert at Duel Monsters and defeats all who oppose him, even Kaiba. Even playing by his opponent's rules, Yami is always ready to go and never gives up. Now that he has Yugi and all of his other Friends to help him, he will not give up on defeating evil. Yami is liked by a certain girl aswell. Yugi fancies Tea Gardner but is too shy to admit it. On the other hand, Tea fancies Yami Yugi, not Yugi. Oh well!
Joey Wheeler Joey is Yugi's best friend along with Tristen. Joey is tough guy although still a good guy. Joey would do anything for his friends no matter what. When he first met Yugi, however, he and Tristen picked on him. Then  Joey threw a piece of Yugi's Puzzle in the river! Later on, Yugi considered Joey and Tristen friends after another bullying event. This touched Joey and he instantly dived in the water to recover the Puzzle piece. From then they stuck together in their quests. Joey is a great duelist, especially with his former Red Eyes card. Unfortunately, he is not as good as Yugi or Kaiba but is determined to be so. He also loves his sister, Serenity. He will do absolutely anything for her, and when Joey is down he thinks of Serenity and it helps him. Ain't that nice!
